Jets Womens Volleyball Team beat Troon
Last Weekend A very full weekend of matches for Jets saw both the mens and womens national league teams in action. M1 played one of the leagues strongest teams, South Ayrshire, in a gripping match. A busy Tuesday at Forrester High School (joined to St. Augustine’s) saw Aileen coaching 18 secondary school children. I went along to help out and it was great to see so many pupils interested and showing some skills. Halloween parties meant our primary school session was smaller than usual but those that attended were truly lucky as Lynne Beattie (GB Olympic Captain 2012) joined us. Hello, This week sees the addition of a junior session to our usual weekly sessions. If you have any daughters, sons, relatives, or know anyone aged 10 to 18 that is interested in learning volleyball, please let them know about these new sessions. The junior development sessions will run every Thursday at St. Augustines from 3,30pm to 4.30pm with initial taster sessions free.
